I needed something to charge my laptop while on the road. This lowcost gem fills the bill perfectly. One annoyance though, if the engine is not running, the unit will emit an annoying highpitched whine as a warning, I suppose, of voltage drop.

This is rated to deliver 400 watts into a resistive load for 60 minutes, according to the manual. The manual warns that this and other modifiedsinewave inverters make a square wave or stepped square wave (not a true sine wave) and may damage cheap rechargeable devices and cheaplymade power tool chargers. Most of these things are of substandard quality. This unit is solid and powers everything I need it to.
