The Echo 28 is a WiFi / WLAN dedicated Flexible Printed Circuit Board (FPC) antenna that achieves impressive levels of performance, owed to fine tuning between 2.4 and 2.5GHz. Tuned to this frequency band means the Echo 28 antenna can be used with WiFi, Bluetooth, Zigbee and ISM based applications. Its unique FPC design means the Echo 28 is capable of very flexible mounting positions and orientations, such as the bending around objects. This provides a unique way of WiFi antenna integration that the standard rigid PCB antenna designs cannot match. With a small footprint size of 31 x 28.5 x 0.1mm, the Echo 28 is incredibly thin that helps further improve this antennas embedded capabilities. The Echo 28 is perfect for applications where internal space for components is limited or when using an external antenna is simply not appropriate. Furthermore, this WiFi FPC antenna is supplied with an adhesive strip on its base side to securely fix it into position. Common applications for the Echo 28 include: waterproof / water tight designs, low power Zigbee, portable WiFi solutions and general 2.4GHz applications that require a compact invention.

The Echo 28 is a WiFi tuned antenna, designed to resonate to a high level between 2.4 and 2.5GHz and managing a peak gain of 2.0dBi.

    About Gaoke

As other answers have said, WLAN can be any wireless technology for a LAN.

There have been others: propriatary ones (I worked on chips for Motorola WLAN or Buffalo WLAN) or other standards eg ETSI HiperLAN

But today the 802.11 series of protocols are universal.

WiFi is usually used as a synonym for 802.11

BUT pedantically it is not quite the same

802.11 is a series of standards, with many options

WiFi is a brand name for the WiFi Alliance that defines a subset of those protocols, tests interoperatability, promotes common operation etc

In theory, one could probably have an 802.11 WLAN that was not WiFi and was not interoperable with WiFi. It would be very difficult, and in the real world impractical, but you could maybe do it.

    So

    WLAN describes the concept
802.11 is the near-universal technology standard
    WiFi is near universal implementation
One oddity: 802.11 has different version (b, g, n, ac etc) and we still use those but even though WiFi refers to them all

We were established in 1993 as a supplier of wireless telecommunication solutions. We are not only eauipped with a group of network analyzer, sectrum testers, noise detectors and other advanced apparatus, but also have antenna experts and professional testing sites
Both the quality and price of our prodcuts are competitive. We also deliver goods in time and provide perfect after sale service

The HyperLink HG72705FPU-UFL is a flexible omni-directional antenna designed to directly integrate into devices requiring wireless capability. By embedding these antennas directly into a device, the need for external antennas is eliminated. The omni-directional design of the HG72705FPU-UFL makes it ideal for multipoint and mobile wireless systems since it provides 360° of coverage.

The HG72705FPU-UFL is specifically designed for DAS (Distributed Antenna Systems) which are used to distribute Cellular and WiFi signals throughout a building or area. The multi-band design of this antenna eliminates the need to utilize different antennas for each frequency.

Constructed from a flexible polymer, the HG72705FPU-UFL can be attached via its adhesive backing to straight as well as curved surfaces. This provides engineers greater flexibility when designing the wireless equipment for which the antenna will be incorporated into.

In addition to our standard embedded antennas, L-com engineering can also custom design antennas for the customer's specific applications.

WLAN is a wireless local area network technology that uses OFDM as the multiple access scheme (except 11b). The maximum communications distance is 100 meters. WLAN communicates in the ISM bands (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), which are available all over the world. WLAN is highly optimized for IP and Ethernet. Therefore, it is ideally suited for wireless Internet access.

The standards association approved the IEEE 802.11n amendment to the IEEE 802.11-2007 standard in September 2009. The high throughput (HT) enhancement IEEE 802.11n includes MIMO technologies with up to four antennas and a higher bandwidth of 40 MHz.

The next steps in WLAN PHY standardization are the 802.11ac and 802.11ad amendments, which focus on higher data rates. While 802.11ad targets the 60 GHz frequency bands, 802.11ac targets the frequency bands below 6 GHz. To achieve higher data rates, 11ac adds higher channel bandwidths of 80 MHz and 160 MHz, supports 8 spatial streams and a 256QAM subcarrier modulation.

Amendments IEEE 802.11j and IEEE 802.11p use the half clock rate as defined in the IEEE 802.11 standard. This increases robustness to achieve higher mobility, and reduces the required spectrum bandwidth to 10 MHz. IEEE 802.11p, published in 2010, is specifically defined for car-to-car (C2C), vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to-infrastructure communications.

There are two login methods available: secure (WPA/WPA2) and insecure (Web), which one should I choose?

We strongly recommend all users to use the WPA/WPA2 method to establish WLAN connection. Once the connection is established, all data sent to the air is encrypted. Even though someone captures the data, he/she cannot decrypt the data so easily. Hence privacy and security are ensured.
The Web logon method is purposely provided for those platforms that do not supporting WPA/WPA2 connection. Only your logon name and password are encrypted during authentication but other information send to the air is not encrypted.
I cannot login. How can I solve this problem?

Please use your network connection password to logon. If you forget your password, please visit the CSC Service Counter to reset the password.

The standard DECT- (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications) commonly used for domestic or corporate purposes for digital portable (cordless) phones is an ETSI (European Telecommunications Standards Institute). DECT (like GSM) is a cellular system and the major difference between GSM and DECT systems is that the cell radius on DECT is 25 to 100 meters, while in GSM is 2 to 10 km. *

The implementation of wireless Local Area Networks (WLANs) using IP-enabled wireless data handsets began from several years ago and was considered simple, inexpensive and a reliable method of delivering VoWLAN. The main attraction of a WiFi system is that it offers a single infrastructure for supporting wireless telephony and data, potentially providing a substantial return on investment by reducing hardware costs as well as longer-term operational, maintenance and support costs. But in the other hand, WLAN data applications are typically confined to the areas of a workplace where workstations and PCs are located, as well as meeting rooms and individual offices. WLAN generally does not extend to halls, staircases or outdoor areas.

To provide blanket coverage is complicated due to the co-channel interference inherent in the 802.11 standards. Access points too close together interfere with each other and if placed too far apart, holes are created in the coverage and the user can experience handover problems hence, providing the necessary amount of simultaneous coverage while avoiding interference is much more difficult than it should be. To upgrade a WLAN system to a full VoWLAN network there is necessary to increase the number of existing access points and this means significant additional cost, not only associated with the hardware itself, but with the high level of specialist expertise required for voice deployment, which demands careful channel allocation for each access point.

The DECT versus WLAN (WiFi) debate focuses mainly on arguments centre around whether the wireless telephony system (DECT) is more acceptable for voice applications than the Voice over Wireless LAN. DECT is a mature technology that has gone through the complete standardization process addressing issues such as availability and quality of service, and this is why it is supported by traditional vendors whose main business comes from traditional circuit-switched carriers, where voice network engineers work on the basis of 99.999% availability.

Extend your reach with Siretta quality, low-loss RF cables

Acquiring RF signals in poor reception areas (2G/3G/4G), short range wireless communication (line of sight for 433 and 868 MHz) or WifI connection in large buildings will require high gain antennas placed as high as possible to get the best reception. Problem is that the longer the cable length is from the RF equipment to the antenna, the higher the losses and consequently poorer reception.

WiFi Startup Promises Fresh Approach To The WLAN
Mist combines cloud-managed WiFi, analytics, SDN, and beacon-less location-based services.

Enterprise WiFi has become as much about big, sometimes exotic feature sets as much as simply getting users connected. For every new fast access point on the market, there’s some sort of new analytics, location-services or customer-engagement solution. Now, a startup called Mist Systems has introduced an altogether different WLAN framework that shows just how far WiFi has come.

Mist takes a thoroughly modern approach to WiFi that combines a number of hot technologies: Cloud-managed WLAN like Meraki and Aerohive and performance analytics similar to Nyansa, only without the need for an on-site collector appliance and with automatic triggers that start recording problem traffic for later “rewind” diagnostic playback. Mist also uses SDN to deliver “micro-experiences” to connected WLAN like Pertino (now owned by Cradlepoint), where topologies and services are administratively designed in software rather than at the port and VLAN level. On top of all that, the startup offers unique location-based services; more on that in a bit.
